Hello everyone! Today we are not going to meet any new faces from The Brigade or their jewelry. Today we are going to take a look at one of the most powerful weapons that has found its way into the hands of the daring mercenaries -The Blazing Glory, a legendary blade that nowadays serves The Brigade as a beacon of righteousness and symbol of perseverance, has a very interesting history.
The first mention of this formidable weapon has been uncovered in a dusty tome that was gathering dust in one of the countless libraries of Karazhan. Intrigued by the design and the description of the weapon, Captain Znaw and several other Brigade mercenaries took it upon themselves to search for the parts of the blade, that has been either disassembled or shattered. Some theorized that the weapon was not unique, and the parts were once produced in larger quantities, yet finding even one proper set seemed, along with all required ingredients and materials seemed initially nigh impossible.
Captain Znaw’s team however, comprised of dedicated and stubborn individuals. Undaunted by the difficult task ahead of them, they set out to scour Karazhan and other dangerous places in their quest to reassemble the sword. Following many leads and spending fortune both on obtaining information and the missing materials, they have managed to complete their task. Their quest however, took them more than two years to finish.
Upon assembling all that was required, the finest Brigade smiths long pondered about the final configuration of the blade, as according to the tome from Karazhan, the blade could be infused with different magics to fit different tasks. In the end, the blade was reforged into The Blazing Defender, and given to Major Saroje Vex, who wields it to this day.
Now this was something new for me, something I've always wanted to try - design a weapon and properly paint it. I have used some new tools both for the blade itself and the background, where I experimented the most this time around. I hope you like the final result! Hopefully we are going to see more interesting weapons in the future!
