Philip the Boxcab Diesel by Galaxy-Afro Philip the Boxcab Diesel by Galaxy-Afro
Taking some inspiration from :iconluis18artist:, I decided to design Philip as he would appear in my universe. Built in 1930, Philip was a quite unusual case for the Altoona Works, for he was built to specific orders for a unusual customer, none other than Sir Topham Hatt I! Built to British specifications with things such as buffers, and a rounded back of cab, Philip was shipped to Sodor that same year. For many years, Philip was kept a secret, often getting trains together in a timely manner, so timely, that the other engines weren't aware of his existence until the 1950's! Up until that point, only one other person knew of Philip, and that was Sir Charles Topham Hatt II, the son of Sir Topham Hatt I! Upon the decision to give all North Western Railway diesels numbers, Philip became diesel #30. ~ Afro

Edit ~ Added Sodor Rail variant.

Well, you did inspire me friend! I may not be able to make sprites from scratch like :iconprincess-muffins:, :iconcj-the-creator:, and :icondiamond-jubilee:, but I can pull off replicating you guys' dang photoshops, can't I? ;) ~ Afro
