Sudrian Chronicles Explanations #1Many of you Thomas fans have stumbled across the Sudrian Chronicles, a dark and mature reboot of the entire Thomas universe, but at the same time trying to keep an essence of what made these characters so popular to begin with.Much like the original series, you have the OG 11 + TV Series favorites such as Molly, Emily, Murdoch, Rosie, and Whiff.Then you come down to characters such as Nia the Kenyan Engine who recently has become a main character in the rebooted Thomas & Friends alongside Rebecca. Note how both Nia and Rebecca are designed and have been incorporated in the Sudrian Chronicles. For those who hate Nia, I ask you to put down those pitchforks and torches, and I kindly ask you to listen to my reasoning for their appearance alongside the Awdry families characters.As a child growing up in Sacramento, California, I was one of many to have grown up with the Television Series on VHS (my family didn't have cable, and PBS Kids didn't air Thomas until the 2004 HiT reboot). The Railways of Sodor ~ Part 4Edward was a young engine who lived and worked on the Cumbria Line of the Furness Railway on the Mainland. Although built in 1896, he was a young one at heart, and had dreamed of visiting Sodor for a very long time.Although he was used for small passenger trains alongside his brothers and sisters, he was never allowed to venture beyond his very own line. Other engines of the Furness Railway were able to venture to Barrow-In-Furness, the last station on the Mainland that connected the land to the Island of Sodor. Many of the Standard Gauge Sudrian Engines would often show up here, and often, gossip was exchanged, with many curious engines on Sodor asking about London and the other big cities, and the Mainland Engines asking about how the rural elements of Sodor were.Many a night went by when Edward would bring up how much he wanted to visit the island. Humans of Sodor #9 ~ Clancy LowhamA well-known member of the Lowham family, and a look-alike of Sir Topham Hatt I. His family runs a secret criminal enterprise on the Mainland, using Sodor as their base of operations for their crimes. He's been very well-known for his shady dealings with the Zero family, having made a deal in New York City in 1918 in the aftermath of the infamous San Marcos incident, which led to many events happening. Lowham is the owner of several engines who work for his "company" in addition to the Zero fleet. During the Great Depression, he mysteriously vanished, with many a rumor stating that he fled to avoid prosecution. Currently, his lone daughter is running the operations on Sodor, and has recently set her eyes on eliminating the Hatt family.
