Dartanian the Diesel Shunter by Galaxy-Afro Dartanian the Diesel Shunter by Galaxy-Afro
A diesel shunter whose origins are unknown, save for the fact that he was acquired from a now defunct industrial complex. Dartanian was bought to the North Western Railway in 1963, after a promise to Sir Charles Topham Hatt II that he would work hard. He has become good friends with Denworth, to the point where the two are seldom seperated on jobs. Due to Denworth having gained the nickname, Den by the other engines, it soon became normal to call Dartanian, Dart! The name Den and Dart has caught on since then! Upon the decision to give the diesel engines numbers in 1968 by the board of directors, Dart was given the number D13, one number after Denworth. ~ Afro

A proper name for someone named Dart. I actually know someone in real life who has this name, hence why Dart received the name. ~ Afro
