Description
Out of context art for Chapter 38 of The Rise of Tallest Tenn.
This is one of the very few comedic, silly moments in the final arc of the story, and one that I couldn't help but want to illustrate. I've written a running gag throughout the story where Tenn gets really good playing a video game called "Rhythm Heaven". It ends up manifesting in interesting ways, like how she achieves the canonical high score in a DDR-like arcade game called "Dancing Arcade Game But For Aliens." And to come full circle, I decided to have her start her quest to start forging alliances specifically by having her, her best friend, and Tak all performing a line dance suspiciously similar to one of its many minigames. It might only work on one planet, but hey, it fits perfectly in the logic of Rhythm Heaven for it to be possible to gain an entire planet's forgiveness just by having a perfect sense of rhythm!
From the title alone, you can probably guess which minigame in the Rhythm Heaven series they're parodying. And then groan when you realize it only has like 3 dance moves and would become extremely repetitive after a while...oops.
