You know what? After I've listened to MarzGurl's video on not to give up when it comes to Copyright Claims on YouTube, I feel like I should take in consideration what she said.

If I want to create something I'm passionate about, I shouldn't give up immediately just because some people disagree or a system is broken. We got to fight for it! Gotta show 'em we mean business and prove them that they are wrong. Although, we got to keep in mind the state of "fair use", like showing a few seconds of clips from a movie/show and know who owns the right to music tracks and so on.

False claims should not be the reason to give up! As long as I have good reasons to back up my evidence as to why a video review for example falls under fair use.

So basically, I won't give up hope on YouTube. I will NOT coward out, even if some parts are irritating or risky to go through. We can do it!

You go dude! Show em who's got fair use! Besides, I thought Youtube Poops were protected as parody. What gives?

Hey and if Youtube goes to shit, there's always Dailymotion. A couple of my favorite poopers (like Durhamrocker, bless his heart) moved a lot of their stuff there for the same reasons.

I know right?! It's a YouTube thing, it's like a foundation that doesn't need to be taken down for no reason, because YTPs have been on the site since the very beginning.
Yeah, I'd figure Dailymotion would be an alternative, since it's like the closest thing we can get to a similar video platform site.

Mannn... YouTube has been going down the shitter lately, hasn't it? Ever since the Google + add-on, people have been complaining about it all over the world and it's not getting better anytime soon unless we make a big boom about it. So exactly what you said, friend: gotta show 'em who's boss!

Indeed it has but I can't even begin to know what to do about it. Copyright's a convoluted, multi-layered beast with more fine-print than you can shake a stick at. It's not completely hopeless, but it's a long, difficult battle to wage and I dunno if people are motivated or well-versed enough in law to pursue it.

It certainly is going to take awhile before YouTube is going to be "great again" back when it first launched.

Go for eet, maaaan! Just know that you're not the only one going through this. GradeAUnderA (hilarious guy, BTW) did a video just three days ago about the whole issue with fake copyright claims. He even started up a campaign to tweet @SusanWojcicki to see if anything at the upper level could be done about it. Even though her site has a lot of problems nowadays, we all know she's very receptive to improving it so maybe this is our best shot?!?

Yeah, I looked at him again recently. Was completely shocked by how popular he's gotten since his password video you linked me months ago.

It's funny, because he often mentions the subscriber counts of other channels in his videos. A few months ago he only had about 300k~ but it's now ballooned to 1.2mil which means he has more subscribers than the people he talks about, including guys like Nostalgia Critic and Pyrocynical. It's kinda weird seeing this reversal but it's nice that he's still helping out the little guy.

Little guy being a relative term here, of course. :P

Yeah, even he was surprised by how fast his channel grew.
