Honestly, I feel bad for the younger generation of millennials. The younger employees at my workplace are all a bunch of normies.

They never played video games in their entire lives or talk about anything remotely interesting. It's all about gossip shit, relationships and subjects that make no sense to me. All stuck on their phones sharing pictures on Instagram or Snapchat or whatever.

The only gamers I know for sure are one guy, a girl and my boss. I guess there's also this older man which we talk about our love of music, so at least there's that. It's really hard for me to start a conversation with someone if we don't have anything in common we like.

How do you folks feel about what I'm saying here?

it´s because, the normies or the generation nowadays, get just spoiled by those wanna-be Youtube Starlets, Rich kids of Instagram and so on...
i don´t blame them, for not knowing good music or awesome old games like WORMS, Whacked, Stupid Invaders, Giana Sisters, Bomberman and and and, if they´re always staring at their IPhones and listen to Justin Bieber or Arianna Grande all day long, because they haven´t heard of The Cure, David Bowie or Radiohead . Urgh...

and about that gossip thingy, this won´t die out, heck, even hell has cliques. :XD: God thanks, i can sometimes convince people from my hobbies or art thingies, but it´s up to them, if they show interest or not.

Awesome, somebody ELSE who knows that feeling!  I kid you not, where I live, it's the same as you!  A few people around my age are not unlike us(meaning me and my sister), most of them are all old people who gossip about who-did-this and stuff like that...

Makes ME feel old and I'm not even close to thirty!!

There's more people like those than you believe. It just so happens that they're mostly common in schools, neighborhoods and workplaces in general. I really don't like interacting with them, because I know that they won't be worth it in the end... they're just here to do their own thing as I am. I know it sounds like I'm devaluing those types of people, but not really-- not all of them are gossipy or trash-talkers. Those people can believe, say or do whatever they want, but that doesn't mean I have to be friends with them. Am I right?

I know what you mean. It's like if they were the babies and we were the responsable adults in comparison.

The feeling is mutual. My dad was right when he said some folks never outgrow that high school/ middle school gossip bullshit (he deals with that at his workplace too and he's in his fifties!) Honestly I wouldn't even bother with them. Why strain yourself struggling to converse with those who don't relate to you whatsoever when there are plenty who do, y'know? Might as well partition your energy towards people worth talking to imo

That's so true though. No matter the age, those kinds of people will always act like pre-teens, except they're in a body of a fully grown adult. Even my dad has to deal with those kinds of people at work too.
Yeah, that's why I'd rather not talk to them for fear of expressing my hatred towards them and get in trouble for it (loosing my job is the last thing I want to happen).

Oh man, I know that feeling, thankfully though I've found some common ground with the normies. Really bad jokes. :XD:

lol I guess there's that. XD
I always act weird when they ask weird questions to me, because I don't want them to see the real me y'know. I don't know man... they're just hard to figure out. I just don't want to interact with them whatsoever (if possible). X_X
