"I make music to generate atmospheres, not to complement already existing ones."
Meet Tom Jenkinson, the master of drum machines and atmospheric ambiance. He came in the IDM scene a bit later compared to Richard D. James... although at the time, "Warp Records" was getting some recognition and a bit more musicians in the record company. Anyway, Tom has experiment with many genres, such as Drum and Bass, Acid Techno, Breakbeat, Jazz Fusion, Experimental and a few more.
His music is also very inspiring too, which makes me want to rave, getting lost in thoughts or groovin' around whilst listening to his bass skills. Yes, he is a very talented bass player, right next to Les Claypool (but in a different way of course).
I took reference from his "Ultravisitor" album... funny how it's the only album cover where you see his exposed face.
Anywho, hope you enjoy and more sketches coming soon.
