Fire Golem - compositions by gagaman92 Fire Golem - compositions by gagaman92
Here's what I've been working on recently: composition pictures with my Fire Golem! (better than my first attempt to be honest)

So I've decided to make three different images with the same model to end up with different results. I had to create a bunch of lighting in three different Maya scenes, each with image based lighting so that I could get a good idea of where the light would hit. Then of course, I had to do the final touches in Photoshop to make each of the images look nice.

Let me know what you think (this is important for my class)!

Honestly, I really like how they turned out (especially the third one at the bottom).

nice work on these, love the texturing, did you use bump mapping for the detail in the model or was that into the sculpt?

Thanks! :)
Yes, I forgot to mention that I did apply bump maps on the textures. It's mostly effective on this type of creature. =P

Cool, if you have time check out my 3d artwork. I designed 3d models for a video game in development called "the purple creep" and I've worked on animations with ham studios, in fact I made the model for an Andy Wilson animated spoof of Mario last year. I mostly work on illustrating my own stories now but if you want inspiration for school projects my professional stuff might be more interesting :)
