Ubirajara jubatus

Ubirajara was a small dinosaur that lived 110 million years ago in the early cretaceous of Brazil. It was discovered with feathers, including a dense mane on its back, and a pair of specialized feathers sprouting out of its shoulders that used for display similar to the specialized feathers that we see in the birds of paradise of today. The sad part is that the fossil was smuggled illegally from Brazil; it’s a shame that such unethical behavior takes place in our time. Ubirajara belongs to Brazil.
