Twisted Comic Cover costumes

I am thrilled to finally share this chapter cover with you. I made a huge step artistically - after three months of pain and scrapping so many sketches and versions of this. Nothing had “the ring” or “atmosphere” this image needed.
I dislike objectification of anybody and have to say something about this. In the chapter, this cover is for, the characters get to meet the people responsible for this crime scene. The antagonists purely objectify, torture, rape, kill and dump. They’re modeled after two real serial killer duos (the hillside stranglers and bittaker/norris). The body is loosely(!!!) based on a real crime scene photo of one of these duos, as are the MOs and character designs.
I am deeply fascinated with serial killers and this photo and the stories of the two duos are intensely haunting to me. I had to get it out of my system. I wanted to draw the dumped, discarded body in a pristine way. Painfully showing that a life was lost. Not glorifying the murder itself. That is my intent. If it succeeded is entirely up to the viewer.
