Surfer And Flyer

There are a few Pokemon who can learn both surf and fly (Dragonite for example) so the flying while surfing animation in-game doesn't make much sense (the surfing Pokemon is left behind when it's also the flying Pokemon that flew off with the trainer).

Using that logic, it's just this blueish-purplish blob (the sprite) that's left behind if the surfing/flying Pokemon ends up flying away with the trainer. 

Yeah..I probably could've explained it with fewer words.
