I dont exactly hate it--but it was a bad move to rebrand a "community" without...ya know--letting the community have some say.
Why not take advantage of the great power of contests, and let the community work together to design something.
Perhaps an initial contest for a logo mock-up that everyone votes on. Then a secondary contest where people design a final version based on that original mock-up.
To be completely honest, it looks pretty bad from "News" up.
You have a bunch of Blizzard images poorly pasted together with what I assume is topaz filters. There is a cut-off edge to the top border of the body (the stone). The background to the navigation--unless my monitor is hiding something--looks like a single flat color. The "ScrEnshots" box has very ugly bevels used and the play button would be better off with a 20% transparency and no poorly-beveled box. The bookmark-flag-things (to the left of "Battle to level 90" are very unrealistic.
I absolutely HATE how the background just cuts off. It looks less like the painted effect you were going for and more like the image cut off.
One more thing; fix the "follow us" section. Something is odd about the buttons.
The bottom of the page looks good...very smooth. Possibly change the line divider to a brighter color.
