Smooth Glass for Launchy
Smooth Glass was an idea I had for Launchy 1.0 as the follow-up for [link]
But ever since Launchy 2.0 I didn't find out how to use the alpha-channel well enough to create a translucent skin.
After many years, here it is, Smooth Glass.

PSD & Requests
The PSDs for the main interface, scrollbars, ... can be requested at any time. You are also free to make requests (just send them on DeviantART or as e-mail).

To install this skin, you need to copy the folder Smooth Glass (next to this readme file) to the skins folder in the Launchy installation directory.
By default this should be something like:

  • C:\program files\Launchy\skins\
  • C:\program files (x86)\Launchy\skins\
Now you should open the Launchy options which can be found by right-clicking the Launchy icon in the tray.
Then go to the tab "Skins" and select Smooth Glass.

What change(s) should I make for it to be a bit less transparent?

Thinking about the same thing. Great looking skin when using it on the desktop, however above program windows those are too visible.

Open the alpha.png file in Photoshop and duplicate the layer until you obtain the opacity you'd like.
