So I'm a vampire practically, I get up for work the same day I get off of work (usually 10:30 or so). And since I have taken this job I have always gotten up to the bitter cold (-25f at points in Dec/Jan).
But yesterday I went out to start my car and was like....damn it's warm out. We're in the 40s in Iowa now, I'm hoping the winter is finished here.
I've even been superstitious at work and only putting in non-winter like weather animations for my shows . Can't wait to go up and put my BBS's back on the STI, give it a proper clean and wax and shoot it with my D90...and get out there to some nice spring events/gatherings to shoot.
Pray for warm everyone!

I'm finally working when the sun is up! I got back to the night shift at the TV Station! I have finally gone back to riding my bike and snapping pics all over the place, I hope to take some time to organize some good shots and upload them here. Aaron/g
Working 3am-12:30pm at a TV station is really draining sometimes. It fails to open me up and see great photographic opportunities around me most of the time. When I do see them...my camera is back at my apartment...silly me. Storm chasing has pretty much been all I have photographed in the past month or so, but artistically and creatively I feel I am lacking. I bought the Digital Photography Master Class book by Tom Ang...which seems to be very informative in opening up my photographic skills, I've been writing in a journal some techniques I hope to try soon. Does anyone have a suggestion to a good book or reference material to get inspira
Well, just bought a 3 Month Premium membership...let's see where it takes me! -Aaron
It's been a slow year so far for me, winter weather had me excited for a time..and now there has been more snow on the ground for more consecutive days than any other year. So I decided to warm up my winter woes and buy a new camera. D90, 18-105mm VR, and what I now call "The Big Kahuna", a bulky 70-300mm VR telephoto, that should serve me well when I'm either catching up with, or to scared to get close to a storm :D Going to start hiking, taking nature paths, going to community and car events to get myself known in the community and area, it's going to be a good year.
