Chapter 19; The Plant Princess vs. Pony Ponchos
"How many more Rattata do we have to kill?" Aurica shouted, billowing blue flames outwards, incinerating everything in range. They had been out fighting for nearly five hours, killing everything in sight. Hayden placed his free hand on his chin and thought for a moment.
"I think three more times of 'Eye of the Tiger' ought to cover it," he responded.
Aurica shouted her exhasperation to the sky and incinerated a fleeing Pidgey, the smoking body hitting the ground with a soft thud. "We've been listening to that song for hours, Hayden!" she exclaimed. "Don't you have any other songs?"

Chapter 18: Roses are Red, Zubat are Blue, Gloom smell like Feet, and so do You
Hayden and Aurica stared upward in awe, astonished by the size of the buildings in Celadon City, towering hundreds of feet above them. The glass and concrete monoliths seemed to touch the very sky, extending so far above the groun that Hayden had to tilt back to view the tops. Sunlight shimmered off of the glistening clean windows, scattering rays of light down onto the street below.
"Wow," Hayden breathed, "I feel like I'm in one of those old pictures of Times Square."
Jim smiled, cocking an inquisitive eyebrow. "What century?"
"Back at the turn of th

Chapter 17; Where's Waldo? And why do We care?
Bright light burned upon his eyes, and Jim rolled over with a disgruntled groan. He had slept uncomfortably all night, and he was not ready to get up yet. Unfortunately for him, the world seemed to have other ideas. A very loud and very annoying Pidgey was squalking it's brains out on the windowsill outside of Jim's room, and Jim was sure that it was screaming for someone to come shoot it. Were it not so early, he would gladly assist it in it's quest for death, but as it was only eight in the morning, he was not yet comfortable with moving.
Klauss gently nudged the bed, which slid acros

Chapter 16; Who You Gonna Call?
Hayden and Jim walked out of the Pokemon Center, the sun beginning its ascent into the mid morning sky. Jim casually examined the quaint little town, but Hayden was a bit more apprehensive. He was back in the town that he had grown up in, an unforseen hurdle in his vie for freedom. Hayden looked up at the Pokemon Tower, looming overhead.
"So," Jim started, "You grew up here, right?"
Hayden frowned. "Unfortunately."
"So, you kind of know a bit about the place?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Why does the Pokemon Tower have a radio antenna on top of it?"
"Oh, it used to be a Radio Station," Hayden answered.

"'Pitch Black Cave overflowing with Blood Frenzied Zubat.'" Jim read aloud. "Man, is this some kind of joke?"
Hayden looked into the dark cavern entrance as if trying to spot the Zubat. "Somehow, I doubt it. Oh well, let's go." He turned around to see Jim reach around and pull a can of Max Repel from his pack, then hose himself down with it.
Hayden sighed. "Is there any way around this place?"
Jim shook his head. "Nope. With that Snorlax blocking the Route between Lavender Town and Vermillion, and the Saffron City gates being closed, the only presented option to make it to Lav

Chapter 14; A Thorn in my Side
Hayden walked out of the Pokemon Center, his Pokemon refreshed and ready to go. Jim was munching on a bag of M&M's as he walked beside Hayden, Klauss riding on his shoulder, happily accepting the occasional candy that his Trainer offered him. Aurica sat atop Hayden's head, purring happily in the warm sunlight. Hayden inhaled the salty scent of the ocean breeze coming in from the bay and sighed, content with the direction his life had turned. It had been a little over a month since he had become a Trainer, and already he had two League Badges and had fought the Champion. His battl

Hayden followed Aurica towards the back of the ship, her nose held aloft, sniffing out the source of the deliscious smell. The small white Fox walked quickly, her small feet tapping quietly on the deck of the ship, her tails wagging happily in the air behind her. They wandered around the corner of the ship's superstructure, heading back towards the patio and pool area. Hayden watched, laughing, as Aurica teetered on the edge of the pool, her tails hanging on the other side to maintain balance.
"What is she doing?" Jim asked, perplexed.
Hayden shrugged. "

Chapter 12; I like Big Boats and I can not Lie
The sun caressed the eastern horizon, lighting up the sky in brilliant shades of orange and yellow. The early morning dew shimmered on the grass, casting the sunlight in shimmering droplets of golden light shining in brilliant lights. Hayden stretched and crackled his back as he walked outside of the Pokemon Center, Aurica standing by his side.
It had taken two days to bike from Saffron to Vermillion City, but now Hayden stood before the majesty of the colossal Cruise Liner, the S.S. Anne II, a masive mile long vessel that stood over a hundred feet out of the water at her highest

Chapter 11; Slippery when Wet
Hayden stood before the Cerulean City Pokemon Gym, much better prepared for his battle with Misty than he had been the day prior. Now he had two Pokemon, Aurica, who laid upon his head, a living, furry white hat, and Melody, the Ponyta he had personnaly defeated yesterday, much to Aurica's disbelief. Jim did not believe him at all, and Klauss was skeptical, but Aurica believed in her Trainer with firm resolve, having personally seen him do it, as well as knowing the reason why he was able to do it, too.
Melody, as it turned out, was actually a Pokemon who had been released into the wild by another

"What the fuck is this heresy?" Hayden demanded.
The Trainer glared angrily over his shoulder at the Cerulean City Gym. Not only was the Gym filled to the brim with Water Type Pokemon, but the Gym Leader referred to herself as "The Tomboyish Mermaid." Needless to say, Hayden had immediately turned and left the instant the first Trainer had approached him, swimming with her Gyarados, and asked if he was going to challenge the Leader.
"I mean, can you believe that shit?" he shouted. "The bitch had a Gyaridos! A Gyaridos! How the Hell do you e
