The story of the secondary camera
Each time I go on a night photography adventure, I have limited space in my camera bag, so I have to think carefully about what gear to bring. In the beginning, I only had one camera and a few lenses, all of which fit comfortably inside the bag. But over the years, I accumulated more and more equipment, and eventually several cameras became part of my inventory.
My photography became much more challenging when I got into night photography over 10 years ago. Star trail photography, in particular, required my only camera to be completely dedicated to a single shot. Once I started the sequence, the camera would spend around three hours capturing hundreds of exposures, which meant that during all that time I was left with nothing to do except watch it work.
I began to realize that I was wasting valuable time. I would carefully choose what I thought was the best composition before arriving at the location, but what if there were better opportunities waiting to be discovered? Sometimes
