I can't believe it's April 2019 already, I ment to post this journal way back in January. (oops!) I have some Furcadia patch news for those of you in the community who may be interested.
First, I'd like to address a little something. Within the last 7 months or so I have been recieving quite a few notes on my commission prices and status. I'm over the moon that you guys like my patches and love using them. I wasn't expecting so much interest from so many. It has given me quite the artistic confidence boost!
However, despite this, I don't plan to open commissions any time soon. I won't go into details, but my life is less than stable right now. I've always patched as a way to help myself get through the never ending stress of my life, as a therapy. Yet, I barely have time to patch for my own needs. I've only been completing one patch batch a year, maybe two. I struggle with my depression, anxiety, and other issues. There are days where I can't bring myself to get out of bed let alone get on the computer and create. Because of this taking commissions right now wouldn't be a good decision. I wouldn't be able to get a commission done in a timely, professional manner. I'd hate to take someone elses hard earned money and not be able to deliver like I should. It sucks, but I have to be honest to myself and all of you. I apologize to all those who have been wanting personal patches from me. :c But there are many fantastic Furcadia patch artists out there with far more skill than I you should check out if you are dead set on custom patches! , , , and just to name a few.
Now for the other patch business:
I have many, many, patch batches in the works. (Like SO many I have a literal composition book filled with sketches and ideas) Up until now I've had all my uploaded patches free to use, from now on I'm going to have some of my patches, particularly the larger ones, be pay to use. Posting a list in advance what the next 5 patches planned to be come out will be and approximetaly how much (if anything) they will cost. So those who wish to can save up if need be. I find this a better option to commissions, as I will be free to get them done whenever I am able. I hope you all can understand and aren't too disappointed. v-v
5 Upcoming Patches:
Gypsy Caravan Patch- This patch has apothecary, traveler, and fortune teller themed "sets". Included three wagons, two animated Gypsy Van horse variations, three animated cat companions, variety of interior furnishings (such as chairs, beds, tables, cabinets, stove, rugs, decor, ect.) and small exterior campsite area. This patch will probably cost around 500 ($6.25) or so.
Mega Exterior Patch- Inspired by the Mystic Homes dream on Furcadia, this patch is going to be a large collection of exterior elements for home building. Everything from walls, to roofs, fences, porches, windows, doors, columns and pathways. I'm attempting to make this a very large patch with 1000+ items. So it will probably cost somewhere between 1000 ($12.50) to 2000 ($25)
Mega Pet Patch- This patch is going to be another large collection I have been concepting for a long time. It'll pass 1000+ items easy. This patch will include pet supplies like beds, food, and toys. Items to make up a pet clinic, pet grooming salon, and pet shop. There will also be pet themed furniture and decor to deck out any pet lovers house, and best of all animated pets! This patch will only have more common pets: dogs, cats, birds, rodents, reptiles and amphibians. Sorry, no pet horses (horses will eventually get their own patch) or pet bisons. :c I won't be able to make every breed of pet in these categories but I'm going to try to get the more well known ones. Dogs and cats will have a baby version and an adult version. As well as some animation to them. Whether it be simple blinking, breathing, or tail wagging. With so many items the patch will cost 2000 ($25) to 3200 ($45) I have yet to decide.
Honey Patch- This patch is very small, just a few bee keeper hives and honey items. So this one will be FREE to download.
Nursery Patch- This patch is still largely in the concept stage as I'm unsure if I should make one large collection patch, like the pet patch and price it accordingly, or if I should do a series of different themed nursery batches of 5 to 10 items with cheaper prices. If you have any input on this please comment below.
That's it for the update, thank you to everyone who took the time to read it!
