Description

My first themed-litter... if you can call it that. All of these kitties were inspired by other animal's markings. I do like how they turned out. :)

Lineart is from :iconsailorharmony2000:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rules~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
:bulletblue: Please comment and draw an original picture of the cat (and upload the pic so I can see). Post the link on the deviation page where you found the cat. These cats won't go home with just anyone; earn their loyality by appealing to their vainity.
:bulletblue: It's first come, first serve: first one to draw and post an original drawing gets the cat. I will only hold cats for extraordinary circumstances.
:bulletblue: Please limit to one per deviation so others can have an opportunity to adopt too. You are welcome to adopt from different 'litters' but try to keep it to a minimum. Do not adopt from every litter because it is not fair to first-time adopters.
:bulletblue: I'd also like to know what you'll name the cat, what you plan to do with it, and such, but that's not really neccassry.
:bulletblue: I reserve the right to change the rules as I see fit.
:bulletblue: Three of these kitties are genderless; however one is male and because he is a tortie, he can't have kittens. Please keep it that way!
I have a feeling this one's going to be quite popular because it was based off a wolf. I love wolves, even before it became fashionable to do so, but I don't know how this fade began. Oh well, it's good for species for the most part, so who am I to complain? ;) This was my second attempt, and I think it came much closer. I even remebered to put those eye markings too! While the tail really pulls off the look, I only did it that way so you could see the tail markings better; you don't have to keep it that way.
I know what many of you are thinking: how is this a fox? Well, I didn't want to do the common version (many cats already have done that, and it's not unique), so I went for one of the different colour-phases foxes come in. This particular colour is referred to as a cross fox, and it is the most common colour-phase found in wild red foxes. Each cross-fox has its own unique look-- those black patches never appear in the same places and some look more like traditional red foxes. This kitty is a boy, and because he has the red and black of torties, he can't have kittens. But isn't looking like an unique fox enough?
Poor #14; it was supposed to be a raccoon-based kitty, but it came out looking more like a lemur than anything else. Whatever. It still looks nice. This one was proabley the easiest nature-themed one to do too. There just wasn't much that I could do. I thought maybe putting faint stripes along the back would look nice, but when I did, it didn't resemble a raccoon anymore. Maybe this relatively simple look would still appeal to someone though.
I can't stress this enough: I LOVE the colour scheme on this cat! It's so soft and suitable... esp. for a cat based off a baby deer. Why not do an adult deer? Cause they're boring as far as markings go. My versions of Beechfur and Mudfur share their features (not intentionally though), and so do many other people's solid brown cats. So I decided to use a baby deer and take advantage of the spots. And it worked beautifully. :) Maybe someone else will agree and give this pretty cat a home.
Thanks for looking!
