Hey I'm just wondering you that have you ever read or watch "Vampire Hunter D"? Because it had effect on Boktai and Lunar Knights so much. So I think if you like LK, then maybe you will like VHD too~
I'm not sure for the other regions LK do, but Japanese LK has so many influence from VHD in its story and characters. Such as Lucian's background (is half-vampire) and people refer to vampire as "Noble").

<3VHD is the originally Japanese novel series by Hideyuki Kikuchi from 80's, and still publishing new stories every year. So I didn't correct the all books yet. Now it translated into several languages so I think you can read it too... if you like to read books though
Then two anime movies and manga based the original novel were came up. The first movie is kindda old, but the second movie shown in 2001 is the one of my best animation movie ever. It's so beautiful and high quality!! I found some audio/sub versions of the second movie at YouTube so maybe you can find it as your language (are you speaks German?), but you know their video doesn't have enough quality for it.
Anyway I bet you like it! I don't have VHD's fanart in my gallery because the most character is too beautiful that I couldn't draw well~XD
