VfV Tarot - The Fool by FugueState VfV Tarot - The Fool by FugueState
Some time ago I got the (admittedly insane) idea to translate the universe of the film "V for Vendetta" into the Major Arcana of the Tarot.

I'm constructing the images from film screencaps - unfortunately, the filmmakers weren't considerate enough to shoot the exact images I want for this project, so photomanipulation is the only answer. ;P

At any rate, I plan to post my progress here as a way of keeping myself committed to do all 22 images. ^^;

No dog? No cliff? :(

Alas, there is neither a dog nor a cliff in V for Vendetta. :(

What I tried for in choosing the young Edmond Dantes from the film(s) was to depict a person who is at the beginning of a journey, both literal and figurative. Knowing who he is (and I admit, one has to be familiar with the story and it is an obscure choice for VfV), one knows that Dantes will undergo a major transformation and discover himself by the end of his story. He is also important to V in the film, who uses him as something of a role model.

Truthfully, the only other candidate from the film I could see who might work for this card was Evey - but I've got plans for her elsewhere! ;)
