Reflection by FugueState Reflection by FugueState
Inspired by the line in V for Vendetta:

"Every day I saw in myself everything you see in me now."

Media: ink, Photoshop

Oh, beautiful! I really must do some V for Vendetta artwork, so many beautiful lines and images to inspire a great drawing, such as this one.

Thank you! :-) I'd love to see what you could do with V and Evey - I admit, your artwork inspired me to try emulating your style in my sketchbook to try something different. I love your Burtonian figures!

I am honestly flattered, considering your artwork is advanced in ways that mine is not. :thanks: :w00t: Thanks for the wonderful compliment! :D

You're welcome. :D I really enjoy the fluidity in your artwork - I always end up laboring over mine, and so I admire drawings that have a sense of ease of motion to them. It's something I still need to work on (or loosen up for, lol!)

:aww: Sometimes I am too loose with my work. It takes me about 3 minutes to get the basic sketch. What takes the longest is the shading. 2 and a half hours at the most. I'd love to sit down and work for a long time and have something to show for it.

You're artwork is lovely, you should be very proud of it. Expressions on realistic looking characters are hard to draw. You do it so well.

I tend to do better when I do very fast initial sketches. I often forget that, but it's true.

 Thank you again - I really appreciate it! :thanks:

I was so torn inside by that line. I could see where the pain and toture Evey allowed herself to be brought through was strangely close to that of V's own inner turmoil from years ago.

Nicely done, too. ^ ^

Thank you! This image has been lurking in my head for a few months now - It finally decided to come out (much to my relief...)

it is easy to see there pain with out being able to see there faces. wonderful job with this! you do such a great job of showing feelings without out-right showing (if that makes any sence :P)

Thank you! I almost classified it as Digital Art because of the work I did in Photoshop on it - but ultimately, the figures are drawn with inks. So Traditional Art won. :D

Well this story is going to hurt like hell, isn't it.

Have a few thoughts (ones I just showed you a little bit ago).

I love your black in white, vs. white in black idea. As well as their mirroring of each other's pose. I mean just OUCH.

And you know what else? I like the fact that the pic itself stays so high. I mean, that it's not cropped at the top. Like each is in their own pit/well. Yeah, this one's gonna hurt.

I do love it though. Very very much.

I'm glad. :-) And I agree, it's a painful one. 'Twas a very clear image in my head, but not a "nice" one at all.

>I like the fact that the pic itself stays so high.

I really wanted to bring out how isolated they each are in that moment - I'm glad it came across!
