A portrait of V and Evey for :iconpeahopeless: - Merry Christmas! :)

I (finally!) painted this one. I went with watercolors rather than trying to figure out digital painting. The colored version can be found here.

Media: ink

Photoshop is great, but watercolors would look awesome for this!

and I'd love to paint it with actual watercolors... either way, it's going to be an issue of time and my own (lack of) confidence with the medium. ^^;

Daymn, that's gorgeous! It'd be fun albeit time consuming to color, but I hope someday you do so.

Thanks - I'd certainly love to, but I need to be sure I can do it justice. I really, really want to color it in the style of Mucha, but that means either dragging out all my watercolors (messy! :doh: ) or figuring out the paint functions in Photoshop, which may have to wait until summer or so. :shrug: Oh well - here's hoping, and thanks again! :-)

*grins* I try to do the Mucha thing but it never works. I think I use colors that are too bright. Ah well.. Did he use paint actually? I was never sure what the medium actually was.

I'm honestly not sure - the work I tried to emulate looks like watercolor to me, but I could easily be mistaken. :-)

(want to put here what i put on lj)

The clovers at the top ... getting verklempft here. :)
The fact that they're holdinig hands ... twice. :D :D
And for some reason, as I also noted in private, I was caught by the details of the creases in the fabric ... even the thicker creases in his boots.
And one more thing ... I like the fact that while on the sides an the top, the frame is the frame ... on the bottom, they're stepping out of/over top of that frame. I know it probably means something artistic, and this non-artist has no idea what. But I do notice it. :)

The daggers ... are perfection. Literally.
And yes, I love the Christmas present. :D :D :D
