I'm sorry if its not very good/unclear OTL;
It's my first real shot at a tutorial and I'm a pixel noob myself
Also, please excuse any typos and grammatical mistakes
since I'm grammatically challenged orz //sobs
ahhh ya, I hope this is useful ; v ;
commissions are open!

Hello! Thanks for creating such a good tutorial! I am an aspiring artist and YouTuber and your tutorial was featured in one of my videos bit.ly/2aJws9v
If you like it and are a pay-it-forward type of person, I would appreciate a little help getting the word about my channel out. Anyway, keep up the great work!

ahaha I must admit that I don't exactly know the 'rules' myself since I'm just an amateur--I still have a lot to learn too ;w;
(plus this tutorial is super outdated so I probably broke a bunch of rules in it OTL;;; )
but ahh, okyi has a little explanation about pixel art on her tumblr here (she's a fantastic pixel artist)
She has a lot of other great tips tagged under #tips if you're interested~
As for staying in one palette, I don't do this personally (though I probably should ahaha), but I know many artists select their palettes beforehand and then stick to that palette as they actually draw. An example of that is in this tutorial~.
I hope that helps! ´ ▽ ` )ノ

thanks for the info. its really helpful to me ^--^. so its like that I have to know how to play with colours right ? but uh .. I did my pixel icon based on your tutorial (but I think it looks kinda weird but I like it) and I tried to stay in a palette (and its really hard to me).
can you give any opinion or maybe some tips to make it nicer?
thank you again ,,u.u,, you're really nice to me.

haha I know what you mean. I don't really use a palette since I know it'd be hard to stick to it xD
Your icon looks great though!
As for some tips, hmmm~
Since the hair is white and the skin is a light shade, they kind of blend where the two meet, so maybe make an outline for the hair that's darker? I tend to outline the major areas of my icons so they stick out, but that's just me. sorry I'm not all that great at giving advice ahaha;; just keep practicing and you'll eventually get to something that your like´ ▽ ` )ノ
