Sorry about calling you a Muppet baby and the generic pic. This will make it up to you, if you can do it right. In windows/system32 lie directx. dll files. It's the core Direct3D files that runs the Xbox 360 graphics and your mom's 60fps candy crush. Windows 11 has all new D3D*.dlls to replace your Windows 10 D3D*.dlls. It can kill Windows, but luckily you backed up your original files right and know your permissions?

What can happen good? Assuming you are already running Windows 11, then any kind of new D3D12 features and almost no downside. It's like Win10 has a diploma in D3D12, it obviously can't unlearn shit and only benefit from new Dlls.

Snake oil or positive effects? A dll from Win10 allowed me to play HL2 past stage 2 on a win7 pc.

Look at all this evidence that points to the fact that Direct X now and years ago, does have hidden features. Let's be a little more technical... 'dormant' features. Which that new video card, you just got could very well take advantage of... if only you had the DX12 files.

By the way, I didn't search for all those links. I just stubbed my toe on the keyboard and up they popped.

By the way Vttpete, I love you man. But "condescending" has the word descend in it. And you looked like you needed to move down a peg or two for your own good. Now look, you're a cool guy again.
