Yes! I finally snapped out of my slump! The creative juices were just not flowing for a while there...
This is my first time working with fire in an artwork. Although I've always wanted to try it I saw the contest, and thought this might be a good time to give it a go! I like the way it turned out
Aaaaand what do you think of my phoenix bird? I've been practicing my digital painting, and was able to get a pretty unique effect on him. I tried to style him off the phoenix in Narnia. I was practicing some new painting techniques on the girl too.
Btw, I will be posting my first step-by-step tutorial soon, so keep your eyes on my journal entries!

Art tip of the day:
So, you think your artwork is done? Try adding one final layer, set it to 'Color Mode' and brush on a few extra colors and experiment to get different effects you didn't even know you wanted! I find this little finishing touch can really add an extra dimension to your artwork. You'll be surprised at the difference it can sometimes make in the finished piece!
