As per usual, I'll now shamelessly gush,

I almost feel like it's too easy, Sibsy, but the best word I can use to describe my impression of you is "chill" which clashes nicely with your ponysona.

It's rare, for me at least, to see someone who is part of such big projects comfortably show that they're "human". By that, I mean being responsive, talkative, friendly, and exhibiting.

I highly approve of and support your frequenting and use of DeviantART, you make conventions, and overall, you seem like a really nice, unique, quirky, and bright person.

While I still have yet to have the honor of meeting you in person, I can't thank you enough for being a fun and fantastic storyboard artist for two of my favorite shows, and for just being you.

So happy birthday! I hope you have a good one, and..

..

Bring on the fire!

This is absolutely incredible! The artwork really speaks for itself and has so much motion and life in it. I really love the mane and tail style as well as the shading and spectacular lighting from that very detailed fire! I haven't seen a piece this epic in quite awhile! I would very much love to see more! Great work! Kind regards, Princess Luna

I don't understand whats going on here. Her body has weird appendages in strange places.

Yeah, you'll have to forgive me, I'm still trying to master "in-motion-shots" I love dynamic angles, and I was trying to aim for a "skid-sliding against a wall/pavement" kind of position. It ended up more abstract and a bit less coherent than I had in mind, but y'know, just stuff to fix in the future. I've got lots to work on, including anatomy for those weird bends in perspective :P!

Hey, don't worry about it! I was feeling guilty for my vision while everyone else was commenting how awesome the work is. You really didn't do a bad job with your intention, I'm just very logical at seeing things. When my boyfriend explained the shot to me, I saw exactly what you were going for, if that helps. Or close enough. The abstraction really adds a surreal flair to the gritty power of the piece. very unique, even though though I didn't 'see' it right away I felt it.

You're very brave to put this up when you see the flaws in it, and you're always learning, so keep it up. :)

I would suggest keeping perspective in mind though, maybe dabble with vanishing points, and grids (to keep proportion in accurate areas when planning; especially sketching a character in different angles; this is why people use 3d software) if you want a truly realistic dynamic. Otherwise, my other advice would be to dabble, stretch it, and have fun.

Thanks! I always appreciate critique! Great tips, I'll keep 'em in mind!

I gotta dabble a bit more in zbrush sometime :>.

I can't make out what her body is doing. Do you mind explaining this pose to my poor artistic mind? it looks like she has a hoof coming out of her butt among other things.

No prob, it's actually more my own error, you'll have to forgive me, I'm still trying to master "in-motion-shots" I love dynamic angles, and I was trying to aim for a "skid-sliding against a wall/pavement" kind of position. It ended up more abstract and a bit less coherent than I had in mind, but y'know, just stuff to keep ion mind for the future. I've got lots to work on :P!

True that...R.D. can leave a rainbow in her wake...but she can't tear up the pavement.
