Borya had been half-listening to what was going on around him, instead having been more focused on a bird that was in the trees. He promised he had been trying to listen to his parents, he really was! But once he had heard the familiar tune of a singing bird, his ears had turned to listen to the sound instead, his head giving a twitch to try to twist around and try to find the bird, eyes flicking from the dark, tall build of his papa to the large canopies that surrounded them. In between his sneak-peaks of the trees, he tried to scan for the figure of a bird, to see if it was one with bright colors - which he hoped it was, he loved seeing how colorful the birds could be! - or if it was one of the more dull birds. It was hard to tell with all the leaves that covered the trees, even if they were now changing into oranges and reds, threatening to fall into the camp, and it made him want to keep his gaze even more focused on the trees.

Bright, gold eyes blearily opened, body still warm with sleep, buzzing with it. They flickered, squinting at the pale beams that shined, pooling into the den. His Baba slept next to him, curled up, ears lightly pinned back as he seemed to grow. Nuzzled under a paw, in the groove of his neck, Borya could see how the light made Baba grow, sides going up and down with every breath.
A bubbling yawn broke out, mouth straining as his legs felt lousy. He tried with all his might to break it, but he could only wait until it was done, snapping his jaws down. Sniffling, he raised tired eyes back up to his guardian, who still slept without flinching. Sleepy warmth was draped over Borya's own eyelids, his head lazily bobbing with the force of trying to stay awake.
The sun still shone through, lights beaming through the curtain of moss, warming up despite the chill of winter wind. His spine shook, fur bristling as the chill slipped in, only to be shuffled back out quickly. As he nestled back

The stage of wondering over others was one that Akeem was used to. He wondered and prodded over many things, situations that could've been avoided or what could've been. His favorites though were of Fidelia, what would've happened if she never came to live in Shérok, if she never found Vita, if she never met Malakai. His latest ones have been about Fi and Mal, and he desperately wished he had an ounce of seer in his blood. Oh, he had tried to conjure up the possibilities of the future, focusing on them as he drifted off to sleep in his watery bed. Nothing, zip. He was left with nothing, no prophecies, no visions of the sought after future....

Blood pumps rigorously, straining against the handle of the tool she held. Another sweep of a curve, wood chips falling around her. Both hands grasping the tool, one loosening up so she could bring the circulation back in. Fingers wriggled, extending her claws out, and flexing the knuckles. Fidelia let out a sigh as relief came flooding back, before grasping the tool again. Her tail flicked back and forth, rattling as she bit her lower lip, trying to refocus on the wood plank in front of her. Another job to do, details carefully made over what the customer had asked. It was new to be asked for a wood carving than what her usual customers a...

With Vita and Grimsby off on a date, or a stakeout as Vita ever-so claimed, watching Fidelia and Malakai, who were also on a date, despite their claims, it left Akeem and Aila on the beach. Aila had returned back to her digging, while Akeem tried to practice his magic. It was, admittedly, getting easier, grasping the feeble hold of magic he did have. Fi had told him as he practiced, it would slowly become more powerful, where he was sturdy enough to keep holding it on. For now, he could only make spirals from the water and do some healing. Akeem had found healing was easier for him compared to doing water manipulation. Which was odd, as fr...

CC | Starry Skies (Jubilee 2/5)
The sun, bright and stark against the slowly darkening, red hues, was sinking under. Being dragged down, while it gave its last spark of life to redden the darkening sky. The softest sight of stars could be seen above, bright and white, to become scintillating once the moon decided to poke its head out. It was undisturbed, the soft lapping of the ocean could be heard as well as the distinct chirping of a little robin. It was close to perfection and Akeem savored it, breathing in the sweet salt, gills fluttering in bliss."Hurry up!" Vita squawked, her voice loud, cutting through the once tranquil sky. Her voice was shrill and piercing, her ...

It was odd, how almost, normal it seemed. How peaceful the land was, the scent of sweet flowers mixing into the air. Carried by a distant wind as Fidelia let Akeem lead them to the meadow. How he found it she would not ask, through their linked bond she could already tell it was something he dared not say. They all had their own secrets to hide and that was one Akeem obviously had. Vita was curled around her shoulders, a guardian of all things almost. A lazy one at that, her eyes closed and dozing through the walk while Aila eagerly trotted next to Akeem. She was so small in comparison to Akeem, who was careful on not accidentally stepping...

Grass flowed against Fairfax's cloven hooves, nostrils flaring as the scent around him bustled with the rich scent of blood. Irony and sweet, trekking down his golden mane. It stained it with a rich flavor, the flowery yellow soaking in, an orange color slowly blooming on his chest. The taste of iron, sweet and rare, gleamed on his teeth, his white tusks stained. With a flick of his tongue, he caught the stain, slashing it down and enjoying the exotic taste. Savoring in it made him move faster, gliding past the grabbing blades that tugged at his woolly coat. They simply flooded by as he followed his prey, mouth open to taste their sweet sc...
