Challenged myself to do an animation confined to 16x16 pixels. Took it's time, but it was also rather helpful to poke around with.
Quite a bit of sub-pixel movement (or attempts thereof):iconpepperclarkplz:

woah, congrats! It's really hard to animate in such a limited space of pixels. And you managed to do a nice movement there. Also,I like how you made AA do part of the job.I can't choose colors to AA even to save my life.

I don't know, AA seems easy enough to me?(It's greyscale, so that's why maybe?) Maybe this could help you though: pix3m.deviantart.com/art/Mini-…
But yeah, sub-pixel movement via AA is really needed if you're going for small space

Oh,thanks for the mini-tutorial.Gamma-correction on AA,sounds really interesting.
And,I've seen some other works of yours and I must say I really admired your AA skills.Keep up the good work!
I guess it's time to practice some AA with this new tut. That's really useful when you want to create the illusion of movement by less than one pixel.

Hey, that is an awesome little(st) animation! 16x16 is a tough size to work with nowadays, but you pulled it off very nicely. It unmistakably looks like Pepper, even from a distance (the zoomed in version is very helpful, though!). Nice work on this.
