Rising of the Night

Well, although I said I wanted to do an ink painting before I'll go on holidays, this work isn't the one I thought about.
(So the other work will hopefully follow, too)
This was a work I started in art class. The topic was 'freeing colours' (with black ink, hehe) in connection with animals. My choice was a raven as Erebor's symbol (:dummy:), but after I've done the ink base, it felt kinda empty. So I began to add a scenery with watercolour...and this is the result.
It is bigger than my usual watercolour works, about 49x35cm.
By the way........SCHOOL IS OVER THIS YEAR! (one year left) :la: :happybounce:

This is a stunning piece! I love the way the bird seamlessly merges with the splatter and abstractness~!

Love the colors and the vibrance here, the splattering and dripping, the textures and how you made that raven/crow just burst! The stars and the mountain are a nice detail too! Nicely done! I like it alot

I'm glad you like it! :3 It was a faster work and fun to do (but the room was a bit dirtier after...)

First feeling I get from this piece is a soft silence within. A cold peace within. Beautiful work. ❄
