Okay, that's two out of three on the corrections - but the image was done before Gen 8 was even a thing, so you still kinda shot yourself in the foot :)
I heard about this from elsewhere and I gotta love how you ended up turning it into something more humorous. The idea of growing tentacles out of nowhere reminds me of that one Powerpuff Girls episode where these broccoli mutants quickly re-grew themselves while getting fought; you wouldn't want to mess with something like that :D
It feels weird that the abuser in question has got into trouble so many times - and even as far now to doing something that would classify him as a criminal under US law - but won't learn from anything. The best anyone could do is be the best person they could be, and that's a great example of that x)
Yes, I've seen the positive praise for Sonic Mania. But it wasn't because of the aesthetic - it was because it was genuinely a *good game*. If I wanted the pixel graphics, I would've just played any old fangame out there regardless of quality - but I just wanted to have fun, and that was what I got.
You're also right about the Switch having more fun platforming games as a whole, but let me remind you - Origins isn't going to be up there, simply because it's four digital re-releases with paid DLC and lack of exclusive content in a $40 gift tag. Sonic Mega Collection on the GameCube, which didn't include CD, offered seven starting games and a handful of extras - and for only $20 at retail. Sega is not doing us any favors here, which is why I decided to skip Origins entirely. With the car comparison, that is a brand new perfect car at 1991 that got too worn down to the point that a touch-up job couldn't get it onto the same show floor as other second-hand cars.
The evidence I needed for budget is just simple grade-school mathematics - anyone who finished their potty training before the PS1 got released - heck, even the PS2 - are now grown adults, with access to a bank account, and their own money, and have learned basic budgeting skills for day-to-day life. There are some exceptions that needed others to budget for them, but that's the basic drill for you.
Also, I saw the words "no hope", "suicide" and "death" being thrown around for no reason once again. You have very little time on this planet, and to kill yourself over an orange rat in jeans is deplorable. What's the real reasons to live - family, friendship, being a good person all around... I'm afraid the more you keep thinking that way and throwing your hate speech against modern day Crash, you're never going to get taken seriously. If you want hope, stop throwing despair to everyone else.
It's good to see that there is some resemblance of a team behind your project, and I hope it turns out for the best - but because of your insufferable attitude to other Crash fans, you really need to get that part of your personality fixed so that people can actually support your work. There's no wonder why your FB page is mostly you actively posting as it stands. As for people that want to be toxic back towards you, simply apologise for your toxic actions back. People may find you to be unforgiveable, but a little kindness eventually goes a very, very long way.
So please, be kind. You can be enthusiastic about Crash, but you also shouldn't be a dictator as to what people can and can't like, even going as far as adding game-deleting malware. For the last time, it's just an orange rat in jeans - let people like what they like D:
Yes, everyone has access to older games. "Emulation." It's not hard to set up. It proves my point that the originals and the newer games can co-exist - because they do different jobs. If you want to play the old-style Crash games, it's easy to set yourself up with an emulator if you don't have a copy.

I also brought up the simple low-spec PCs as a point that - while not powerful enough to run games made in the past 10 years, I'll give you that - they are at least way more powerful than a PS3, meaning AAA-made games that look like they're from 2 console generations ago can't get taken seriously on store shelves unless it's a deliberate aesthetic direction. Yes, even a 4GB Lenuvo Laptop at less than $100 can logically run a game on PS3 specs - but what new game in 2022 is going to cater to that? Hardly any.
Technology has advanced. And if you're upset because you can't afford anything, get a console that does the gaming part for cheaper. I'm strictly PlayStation systems when it comes to games, and I am confident that anyone with half a brain had figured out a budget on how to get access to the newer Crash games themselves.
Also, "inferior, unappealing, uncanny"? Okay, NST didn't really have the best graphics in the world - but I wouldn't give it any of those words. Everything has a job to fill, and that's what it did - lifted up the graphical spec. Like I said, a game's mechnanics are only noticeable when you physically play them, and - to add to your car metaphor - this shiny new car with faulty transition in 1996 got the transmission fixed, then hid all the built-up dust and scratches with a decal painted over the top - which adds to the statement of opinions existing.
And consumers looking for a gaming PC really want the top end - because like I said, it is a gaming PC and they'll be using it a lot. Those who want a cheaper computer just want to use it for the most basic of tasks like surfing the Internet and using an office suite. You have to admit that a) there isn't really a big audience for PS2-looking new games anymore unless it's released on an iPhone, and b) you also need to start being more respectful to *all* Crash fans if you want your fangame to be finished, because they're a huge undertaking that can't be done by a single person.
Please, let opinions exist. No-one is an outcast, and if they are, it's because of acts like adding malware into a fangame. For the love of god, please be cordial to every Crash fan you meet regardless of their takes ;_;
