Photography pause ? Hum, no possible

During the few months I have taken a load of photographs for school related activities (about 5,000 photographs), so taking photographs is getting me quite nervous lately. I think I am going to retire a bit and calm down in order to make the pleasure come back

This doesn't mean I would not make any picture from now on, simply that I would produce less media for a short time. This is just IMPOSSIBLE that I can take my retirement from photography, so much needs to be done in the future that I cannot hold back!

Activity on dA

Yes, I know I always say I take loads of photographs but none hit dA. The reason is simple, if I don't publish it is because I think the picture I took don't match my dA standard (which has risen a lot lately). I hope I would be able to publish there and finally get back to more interesting photography work!

My activity here isn't much impressive in general, most of the time I pass here is hanging in #photographers were there are amazing photographers and among all, great people. Be sure to hit that chatroom if you are any interested in photography or if you simply want to have a good time.

My future on dA

I am really thinking now about putting some of the photographs that are here into my scraps or even remove them from dA because they don't match what I think I can do, photographically speaking. This may sound pedant, but I really want this place to be the mirror of what I like and what I can do and not an history book of my creations. What do you think about it?

Future activities

I have applied to a BEST event in Finland next may. This is about smart spaces. I hope I will be selected among the 230 people that applied!
Did you have any experience in this kind of event (BEST or not, Europe or not)?

Super duper active

I take a lot of photographs, though for the moment I won't release any of them since there isn't much interest in sharing them here (most of them are school-related activities).

With the photo club, we are getting more and more active with photo booths and general photography stuff. There are quite a lot of first-year students interested in photography, so we hope they will all get involved so that we could have a very nice year

Taking the movement on

I guess you have understood it, I am back on dA with a lot of deviations stacked in my inbox. At first I though I wouldn't check them and erase most by a simple click but now, I've got another idea inspired from some projects deviant started a while ago.

The basic idea comes from Little-Vampire 1 decent comment per day project little-vampire.deviantart.com/… that she started two years ago. So I have decided to follow this project as much as I can on the long term and I have started it for a few weeks already (minus the period I was away without internet connection recently).

I am starting mainly because of two things. First it fits perfectly the idea I have of an art community by giving to the community. And also it stands for motivation and gives me an aim to reach in order to reduce the huge amount of deviations I have piled up with the time being.

But Little-Vampire's project isn't the only one around here, TerraRhapsody started one inspired from Little-Vampire a while ago and it is called No comment? news.deviantart.com/article/69…

So I hope some people will follow the way I have chosen to take and don't forget, it is all about sharing

In this part, I want to share the link to an artist profile. This time it is a person present on dA but it can also be someone that doesn't have an account here.

I'm sharing getcarter's link today. To me he is a very inspiring artist and a golden member over here since he is very active in commenting, critiquing and giving pieces of advice.

On holidays

Hi deviants!

It's been a while I haven't been active in any way here! And as you can read in that journal title, I'm on holidays, well not really but let's consider so! I only need to attend a two-hour long course tomorrow and then I will be attending the jury as a representative for students.

So that means I will have more time to review the deviations stacking in my in-box. There are 4,444 currently there, but I've already sorted out 200 of them and I've got the journals and stuff read. I hope I'll get out some interesting comments for you!
