Fun with Feathers

Made this while winding down from bigger events in life and trying to cheer myself up a little. Drawing lots of feathers tends to calm me down...

I started out with Derwent Drawing pencils on this new black paper my lovely fiancé had bought for me (it seems to be brand-less but it's very good quality! just as good as the Aurora paper, but a tiny bit thicker, so even better) . But honestly they aren't contrasting to my liking, so the Posca pencils - initially taken out to be "assistants" became the main actors!

The drawing is A5 and took me a couple of hours over some evenings.

Now I've had my fun and I just got another comission (people saw my last comission dog portrait and ordered one of their own dog ... ) so that's how I'll be spending my art-time the next couple of days!
