Lain Iwakura 2.0 plushie

Since I have drastically improved since my first Lain plushie over 10 years ago,  I thought that I should make a second version of her. This is the version of Lain that is in the final scene of the series, hence the smile.

Lain Iwakura 2.0 is made from ivory,  white, cocoa,  baby pink,  black and red felt. Her buttons are real. Her facial design was created by Caroline Sheppard,  aka Crol on Instagram. She has been my collaborator for a long time now and I couldn't have done it without her help.

Lain Iwakura and Serial Experiments: lain were created by Yoshitoshi ABe and while originally licensed by Pioneer/ Geneon,  Funimation currently holds the distribution rights. I can't believe that it's been nearly 25 years since this amazing series ended.

We made this plushie,  but didn't create this character or series.

Edit (June 1st 2024) : I felt the need to fix Lain 2.0's hair by adding some more bangs and stretching them to make them longer. 😄
