Well, we've been back from the very long holiday for three weeks now. It's taken two of those weeks to get my jobs in the Oatley 101 Society of Artists up to date. And it's taken all of these three weeks for the jet lag to wear off and to start sleeping normally!!! I have just started my first painting from the trip...........a house in the Tuscan hills with poppies and will upload it as soon as it's finished. I must say, although the holiday to Europe was great, we visited five countries in all, it's great to be home ..................to our bed and shower especially! Well, I'm on holiday............for the past six weeks we've been traveling in Italy and are now in France. Next week, we're going to England for a few days, then Norway, Spain and back to England again to visit family and friends. We will be away until July 23rd and that will make a total of three months away, and it's most enjoyable. Especially trying out all the new foods and stuff! I will be painting from my trip, but have been doing a few plein air sketches while I've been here. This has been the best day.........my painting "Six dinghies" :thumb184725116: has won Best In Show at the Combined Art Societies of Sydney "Art of Sydney" Awards. I am so thrilled, I will be getting my prize at the opening night on Friday 21st of January.
