FREDA SURGENOR      FRAS   ASMA



Freda was born in Harrow England
and studied art at Bourneville School of Art, Birmingham, England. She worked in London as a graphic designer and illustrator.



Since coming to Australia in 1982 Freda has established herself through solo exhibitions and group shows as a highly respected painter.



She is a Fellow at The Royal Art Society of New South Wales.

And an Exhibiting member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists



Freda, who has always been interested in people, both at work and play, demonstrates a high level of excellence using vibrant colours to depict a great variety of subjects from landscapes through waterscapes, cityscapes, still-life, floral, portraiture, life painting and miniatures.

Hi Folks. :wave: I'm afraid I haven't been very active lately, I'm doing jury duty at the moment and haven't had the time to reply to your kind comments, faves and watches. It should be finished on Monday and I hope to talk to you again on Tuesday. Meanwhile, I'm doing a demo today at my art society so I have to get ready for that. Speak soon. :hug:

Well .....here we are again....going to New Zealand again.......next year 2025 in March....can't believe it......lovely lovely place....this time.....the North Island This time, I'll be taking my Canon Eos Mk2 This time for two weeks.. And....it's a much heavier camera...having a good Canon Zoom lense on it....... Can't believe it was nearly fourteen years ago........... This time it'll be two weeks.....apparently the best time of the year to go Last time, it rained....eight out of ten days.....wrong time of the year......wrong Island I don't have any paintings to show from that holiday...but my dear husband Dave has chosen the right time of the year to go.....didn't have Google back then...............HA HA HA..... Very disappointing....nice food though........Oh.......and lots of shots of clouds....... SEE BELOW FOR WHAT I WROTE BACK IN 2010............ Joy oh joy.........we're having a ten day break! Tomorrow.......the 6th, we're flying off to see Lord

You would never believe it...........about six weeks ago I stomped on a cockroach in my kitchen. Really hard. I missed the cockroach and it ran under the dishwasher leaving me hopping up and down with a very sore foot under the heel. The bruising went away quite quickly leaving me with a niggle in my ankle. As the weeks went on, this niggle got progressively worse and I started looking for someone to help with healing it. First I tried Japanese acupuncture.
