My Bio

Just a girl who loves to draw and talk to people about Thedas when they do not care at all. I currently teach high school art and so far no one is as pumped about Caravaggio as I am.

Mainly preoccupied with illustration, sequential art, and character design.

Inktober 2019

0 min read
Last year was my first time participating in Inktober. I learned a lot, and it served as the motivation I needed to get back into my art practice. My goals for this year were as follows: 1. Spend more time on each drawing (I combined prompts for a total of 16 drawings) to make more finished-looking images. 2. Use only the “inking” brushes in Procreate to adhere to the challenge's traditionalist roots while practicing digital. 3. Work exclusively in greyscale to make a cohesive body of work. Now that I'm finished, I wanted to say I feel pretty good about this year’s challenge! The progression from last year is staggering. While I still got worn out at the end there, I finished on time and didn’t rush too much. I also liked writing the blurbs that went with the art, definitely knocked some of the rust off my creative writing. Combining the prompts was definitely the way to go, and I'll probably do it again next year. I did cheat and use the “snow” brush on two of them, but

Hey team! I've been a little inactive, but for (sort of) good reason! I finally bit the bullet and bought a tablet. I've been working hard at learning how to make digital art, and let me tell you it is an exciting new media to learn. I'll start sharing what I have so far, and I've also been doing some redraws. I know many of you have been working in digital for some time, so I hope to get some advice from my watchers as I continue this journey! Thanks for coming along for the ride. <3 FreckleF0x P.S. If you want to keep up with me more closely, I am currently most active on tumblr--I'm frecklef0x there too!

I have finally finished uploading all my Inktober drawings! I was so preoccupied with getting them done on time, I didn't even think about sharing them on time! If you look through the gallery, it clear to see when I started feeling rushed, haha. Some reflections: 1. This is was a fantastic way to get the ball rolling again. I haven't made art consistently for probably five years, and I am glad I finally decided to give Inktober a try. This experience helped me realize even if I don't make a completed piece every day, if I want to I can carve out time to draw a little bit every day.2. Due to time constraints I had to do shoddy little do...

I was looking for a Gila Monster looking Lizardfolk for a desert-based variant. And then I started fleshing out some ideas for a module I was working on with a friend, and this is the result.
