American Crow skeletal diagram

And update to an old drawing I did based on a museum specimen of Corvus brachyrhynchos. The original was in pen and ink and had some inaccuracies introduced by the way I drew back in the day. This new one is much more accurate and incorporates my preferred style of grey integument over black musculature. Having worked with wild crows in rehabilitation facilities, it always struck my how such a big and bulky bird seems to vanish into a tiny little, wiggly bundle covered in stiff quills and fluffy feathers when you hold one. I imagine many dinosaurs were similarly all fluff and quills, with a squirmy, scroungy little body underneath!
