I bet someone was watching season one or early season two, and thought drowning peacefully worked for a "get rid of a character that's easy to hate" moment, or that person on Discord was midway through season two or finished watching the show, and wanted a "for glory" sacrifice of a drowning for a hypothetical "save Dipper and Mabel from drowning" moment, I guess.
