Tails and Cream for Eggman's secret base, which conventionally was underwater, while they were speeding thought some ruins that lead them to it, Cream's was running out of air. Hopefully Tails did bring a small capsule with air in any case!

They could also wait for air bubbles to appear. but that method is always such a drag...
