Every morning I've been able to, I've been getting up early, connecting to livestream, and broadcasting as I work on a drawing
The fact is, one off the goals I set myself for this Christmas vacation was to spend more time on my art. I know that if I set myself to do it, say, in the afternoon, I'm not going to do it. I also know that if I know people could be watching at any moment, I won't quit halfway though. Since I can only stream when the background noise.
The only thing missing now is to get the word out so that I'll actually have viewers. My DA journal seems like a good place to start, don't you think?

Looking back
I think there's only one way to start this: my family is staying fed thanks you all. Thank you! The TF drive was, by practically all metrics, a success: it made more than the last one, it reached a wider audience, and it made it to the end. I may have bitten off more than I could chew, though: 15 pages in a month proved to be not quite doable, despite being "off work" (and even when we factor out the difficulties of working with a broken tablet). But what I really want to look at is the plan I set for myself at the start of July Art Fight: I issued a total of 8 attacks on this, my first artfight: 3 of which were in response to being attacked first, 3 which were responded to, and the last 2 which were me launching pre-emptive attacks that didn't get responded. However, my stated goal had been: 1. to finish refsheets for my characters so that I would get attacked on more than just Frank (which I didn't); 2. to issue 3 attacks per week once I was done with them (I sort of gave up on the
Things got Worse
It's been nearly two weeks since the tablet replacement stylus arrived at the "final sorting facility". I still don't have it. I'm beginning to fear it may have gotten lost in the hurricane, and might have to reorder it. I'm already on a very tight budget! As if that wasn't enough to worry about, the last Windows Update completely broke my computer! I can't even browse my files now (unless it's through the "save as" popup) or use messaging apps because notifications are apparently folders! So I've spent the day using the few files I can access and now know exactly when I will run out of money and potentially starve. Not a fun start to one of the busiest months of the year for me!
Tablet part shipped
I have just received confirmation that the replacement stylus for my drawing tablet has shipped from a warehouse in Texas; now that the week the Chinese company asked for before responding, is up. Whether this means the week was to fly it from China to Dallas-FortWorth where it was sorted, or whether it was in a warehouse in Texas all along waiting for someone to pick up a phone, I don't know, but I'm a little bothered that the "2-3 week estimated shipping time" starts counting now. As for the scanner, it works well at certain times of the day, which suggests what's killing it is either tiny power surges (yes, the surge protector was protecting the scanner) or the afternoon heat.
New update on the broken tablet
After every store in my city told me they couldn't help me (Remember that "only one" that specialized in drawing tablets? They sell the exact same model of tablet but offer as replacement stylus an incompatible one. Yeah, you had one job, store!) I went online. I checked every online store I could think of, even in other countries, and I found one guy on eBay. One person... in the entire hemisphere. He promised a 24 hour response time and delivery in 1-2 weeks. The manufacturer in China was promising a week response time and delivery in 2-3 weeks, so I thought that was pretty good. Six days passed, no response from the eBay Seller. I woke up today to find my order has been cancelled. Seller says he's out of stock (however, he kept the listing up, I have my own conspiracy theory about that). So I now have to place the order with China, and wait the 2-3 weeks on top of the week I just lost. I can't tell you how upsetting it's been working in paper-and-pencil this long, but I was
