Old car by *francoclun is an amazingly detailed pencil drawing in which the time and effort poured into the piece really shows.

Old car

is tedious to say the same thing all the time, but this is my last effort. At this point each drawing is a struggle and a satisfaction. I'm happy with the result, although it is still below expectations. I needed to draw something different from portraits, a new challenge that would allow me to learn something new. This drawing was perfect for this purpose. So many different textures and a very high level of detail are a fun test.

The inspiration came from the beautiful drawings of cars I have seen on Deviantart, but, of course, I wanted to do things in my way. Here is my car, which also contains the human element. Not really a supercar but a car full of charm
The original photo reference is made by Wayman (thanks, my friend) and you can found it here: [link]

I love the perfect (perhaps even spiritual) use of light exposure in this. I would like to use it in one of my posts on my blog, The Bohemian @

Hi Franco, your drawing is absolutely exquisite. I consider you to be one of the top 100 artists in the world today drawing in graphite pencil. Would it possible to create a written interview about your art? I have interviewed other greats such as Armin Mersman, Kelvin Okafor, J.D. Hillberry, Emanuele Dascanio and others. I feel that my book wouldn't be complete without you in it. If you are interested please contact me. Well done on your amazing work!

Buona giornata :-)
