Canon 60D
18-135mm kit

This lightning op proved to be a very exciting end to the 2013 storm season :excited: A line of storms was approaching from the northwest, and after discovering a nice overlook in Council Bluffs, Eric Anderson and I made our way downtown so we could shoot the skyline as the storm approached. Lightning was actually fairly limited, but all it takes is one good bolt to make the night worth it. This was that bolt. Was absolutely ecstatic after seeing what I had captured on my LCD! Lightning and the Omaha skyline is a photo op that I've had in mind for quite a while, and while there is still potential there and I know this shot can be bested, it's certainly good enough to get me through winter. Here's to hoping 2014 presents more photo ops like this! ;)

Too bad I don't live in Tornado Alley, at least I got the yearly hurricane season.

This is amazing! Almost too good to be true! I'd love to get at least one or two good shots of lightning sometime. This one is just pure awesome.
