Harsh winds buffet the rimrock of Spearfish Canyon, blasting fresh snowfall off of the thousands of Ponderosa pine trees. Kept waiting and waiting for this shot, but it took good timing and a huge amount of luck. A gust of snow would catch your peripheral vision somewhere else along the top of the canyon, but by the time you spun around to take a photo, the impressive "fog" of snow would have settled. For this one I mostly caught the end of it, but I was glad to have caught it nonetheless
