Description
Day 218 of 365
After the storms from the previous day rolled through, I thought I was done with storm photos for the night. I was wrong. Got out of the shower around midnight and was surprised to see the window flickering away. Crazy electrical show going on from a little line of cells that popped to the south. Mike Hollingshead and I talked on the phone a while as this nearly constant lightning display continued. He had a more distant view of the storm and was able to frame the anvil of it as well: [link] My image here isn't a "stacked" image, so this all occurred within one click of the shutter (30 second exposure). Parents didn't want me going anywhere at night, so I just shot it looking over our house. You can see a video of the light show I put together here. Sorry about the weird quality, youtube doesn't like subtle variances in color.
