First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you.... I have been a little quiet lately but a lot has been going on in my life. I went back home for christmas where - and I only told a few of you - I had an interview for a position in Germany. Despite my feeling it obviously went extremely well as they offered me a position as research assistant. I am going to start my new job at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg on April 1st. It was a very hard decision, but things that happened recently, here and back home, made me realise that it is time for me to move back to Germany. My time here is over, there is nothing left holding me bac
It's been almost three months since my last journal entry and a lot of things happened, one major one that I can't yet talk about (although some might know what I am talking about ;)). Big changes might lie ahead and I am not sure if I am ready for them.... yet I am quite excited about the whole situation.
Funny enough, my music photography seems to attract interest, bands are contacting me about shoots, two great (and very friendly ;P) Cork bands Lotus Lullaby and The Citizen are using my photos on their myspace pages and going to use them on their websites (the latter even presented me with their E.P. Last week. Friday morning around 1am to be more precise. I was on my way back to Cork from the Airport in Shannon. Quite tired and sick of travelling all I wanted to do is fall into my bed and sleep. There it was, looked like a brown paper bag, that suddenly started to unfold into a fox! Hit the brakes, swerved a little, the fox ran away and I stepped back onto the accelerator. A little shaky I made my way back home so. Started to move into my new house over the weekend as well. I was so looking forward to it, we are having so much fun. I know it was the right decision.
