May 2021 Patreon Sketch

The past two months were unnecessarily complicated, which rendered me largely unable to render imagery for you guys. As much as I hate that I left you guys in something of an art drought, that seems appropriate for this patron sketch as the brainstorming session was also unnecessarily complicated for it!

TellyToon wanted Gadget Hackwrench posed as the bellydancing elephant from Dumbo. As if that wasn’t random enough, he wanted both the original design and the modernized one from the DuckTales reboot! Since the only difference is an artistic style that wouldn’t be noticeable, I suggested Jeopardy Mouse as the other dancer after realizing he’s also a Danger Mouse fan and how often does an American cartoonist get to draw the Danger Mouse characters?

I’ll make the long story short and say this took more time than I would usually take for a freebie sketch, but I was determined to do it just because I wanted to draw Penfold as a sultan. Be glad it wasn’t a bigger project that actually required detail and talent or something because I swear I would have added Colonel K as a third dancer just for my own sick amusement.
