It's an extraordinary event of Nature, nice to share that, thank you ! Beating Heart - Black
May i know where is it ? (if you don't mind me asking)

No, I don;t mind ;)  It was on the shore off the Alkmaardermeer a lake between Alkmaar and Uitgeest in the Netherlands.  When the wind blows hard and it is freezing this is a possible result. Knowing that, I usually got there to check it out ;)  Last time I got frostbite for it was so very cold, I wont do that again Eye Roll    I will upload more off the pictures I took that day (s) next month, also free/stock.

I think you can find this anywhere, if it is freezing, and water splatters on grass or anything, so it slowly forms glassy shiny bubbles.
I'm glad you enjoyed my picture :)

Yes I do love my country. I like the different seasons, sometimes very cold and sometimes very hot and everything in between ;) Well, France sure is beautiful as well, even more pretty  hills and valleys and landscape, all gorgeous.
So actually we are both lucky  ;)

I think many times ice can give a magical and mystical effect to what we think of as "normal"  surroundings.  When bushes and trees are covered, I always get that sense of being separate, sort of like you do when you walk in fog and mist; like you are hidden and safe by layers of clouds, really.  I used to feel when I was a child that I should be looking for faeries and sprites.  There is a sense of serenity that is very wonderful.

Exactly, I know what you mean.  Even the absence of sound is different. A mystic atmosphere, distant yet intimate.
Maybe it is a chance to experience that pure feeling every year again in wintertime.  Innocence and purity and serenity. The crispy sound with every step you make, and with luck no other footsteps so  "a whole new world"   Inside a snow globe ;)

Exactly so!  I knew you would have that feeling too!

That's fantastic! This probably doesn't even happen so often and you had the camera and here is this wonderful image! On thumbnail without reading the name I couldn't understand what is it. Something like "this is how light bulbs grow"!
