DC Comic Project: Scene Snippet #3Interdepartmental crime-fightingThis is told from the POV of PsychicDISCLAIMER: These events will probably make it to the chapters sopossible spoilers and all that My name is Psychic, this was not the name I was born with but it wasgiven to me by someone very important and I have lived with it foralmost seven hundred years. The human beings have a very convolutedperception of what a Psychic actually is, often picturing a woman ofexotic orientation and wearing a turban or some such article of headgear...this is grossly misconstrued. To an extent every living thing in the universe has some extent ofextrasensory quality, however in most of the species I have encounteredthat quality is dormant and there is no exception in the majority of thehuman race. To be Psychic is interestingly not to be able to see morethan the average being, but in fact to feel more.My people were the amongst the first to come to life since the point ofgenesis, and they were exposed to a
DC Comic Project: Scene Snippet #2Seduction by appointment (Or Magazine Evaluation)This is told from the POV of MelDISCLAIMER: The events in this snippet may be redone for the chapters.Human beings are by nature complex creatures, or at least that's how they make themselves often ignoring the simplest of options. Since coming to Gotham I have taken to looking into the Super-hero community, a good majority of them wear masks. Now I look at Psychic, who would probably be welcome to that community but he doesn't wear a mask nor does he have a costume...just an old military coat and a suit.No disrespect of course to his uniform, as it's rather militant and gives off a seasoned warrior impression but he has rather missed out on the concept of a secret identity. He'd the mono-identity works for him because he is general quite secretive and works below the radar...of course that approach won't work forever, particularly with that Batman fellow having complete reign of the city. The benefit of a secret identi
DC Comic Project: DISCLAIMERThis may seem a little strange to most people but as this a professional take on the project I want to make a few things clear before I set it all out.The DC project I am working on with my chief collaborator was based on an RP we did quite a while ago. It was initially a random idea after I'd played a lot of DCUO after it had first come out (so about two years ago). When we'd done quite a bit of it I decided it would be fun to document it into fan-fiction...got to about chapter 25 of arc one which would have been 40 chapters when I realised...I could do this professionally, set it up as perhaps a real continuity into the DC universe. So we started a professional reboot of the RP so as to document it professionally, and also to streamline all the external references out (Doctor Who, Torchwood et al). However as we started this in either the early days or more likely before the new DC 52 reboot, a lot of things in my continuity will seem different and perhaps contradict what's going on
