ToT Intermission 2: Misinterpretation

Nox headed out of his den to take a nice and calm walk for himself in the afternoon breeze of Taberia. His thoughs however were starting to drift towards the events of yesterday again *It's still a dream for me that Yang accepted me as her friend... and even more bizzare when Sonya... He shook his head to shake that though off. It was still embarresing for him that she carried him back to the wagon yesterday. Since he didn't really payed attention was it at this point were he bumped into the Absol apperentice of the Keepers guild "O-Oh sorry, my bad." was the male shiny Eevee exclaming first.

"It's okay." responded the Absol to that as he looked towards Nox before reconising him from his grey fur "Aren't you the Eevee that works for both the Trackers and Scholars?" "Huh? Oh yeah, that's me. My name is Nox." was he responding to the question "And you are? I do see you around the Keepers Guild." The Keepers apperentice soon spooked up to that "My name is Prier, and yes, I 'work' for the... ugh. Honestly, all of this detail is boring me, and it’ll probably bore you in time as well Nox." Nox sweatdropped lightly to that "Not really Prier... but you seem to have something in mind."

Prier looked a moment surprised towards the grey furred Eevee before he responded "Well yeah... I wanna have some free time for tonight from my father Dandolo when he's expecting me at home." *Isn't that the bank manager of Taberia?* was the male shiny Eevee thinking before he mumbled quietly "Ah... father issues..." The Absol wasn't really pleased about his current situation as he told half of his true intentions "I'd like to visit a good friend of mine who lives some distance away of Taberia. I'll be visiting her right after I attended my so called duties."

As soon as Noxs ears caught the word her did he got a wide smirk onto his face that "I see now why you don't wanna be at home tonight. You have a girlfriend, huh?" Prier felt a bit flustered from these words as he raised his paw through that "D-don't be ridiculus, she's just a friend of mine! Besides, I heared from Resin's debriefing that you were carried on the back of a female Eevee!" Getting remembered by that event caused the grey furred Eevee to be flustered in return "Okay, okay I get it! I get it! We both want some privacy and since I know this now do I have to help you, right?"

Prier cleared his throat after he calmed down "Correct. I won't tell you who I'm actually visiting so you won't be able to tell the truth at all." "So you want me to make up something towards your father to cover you." was the shiny male Eevee answering in return "Exactly. I know this makes it a somewhat dishonest work, but I’ll be happy to repay you later." Nox wasn't really glad about that idea, but he still thinks that the Absol was going to visit his secret girlfriend "Allright... I'll tell your father that you won't return tonight. Just promise me that you'll be careful Prier."

"Thank you Nox and I will. I'm sorry again for the inconviniance work you have to do. I could offer you money as reward, but I think it's unsuitable for this situation." were the honest words of the Keepers apperentice as a calm chuckle escaped the grey furred Eevee "What's so funny?" was Prier asking demandingly as Nox responded honestly "Ah, it's just that this situation reminded me of the past when I met a fellow species of yours with green eyes. I had to lie infront of my Vaporeon mother after having met that Absol." "How does that connect with what I want to do tonight?"

Confusion was visible on Priers face when Nox mentioned that he pulled off something similair. Soon was the chuckle of Nox calming down as he looked rather serious towards the Absol "It's because you never know what happens in the future. From a moment to another can you loose everything you know and loved." Prier looked a bit unamused when the male shiny Eevee spoked about that "Ah... forget it, you have to do your 'work' now, right?" "Shoot! I don't wanna hear another long annoying scold from Sela!" and with that did the Absol rushed off, leaving Nox behind.

As soon as Prier wasn't around anymore did the grey furred Eevee gave off a sigh while heading towards the living place of Prier and Dandolo *Right... Mother did told me that everyone is different in the end... but we all have to lie sometimes to protect something... and this time do I have to lie for Prier to cover up his secret girlfriend...* Another sigh escaped him as he stopped at the side of the road to clutch the wornout blue scarf onto his neck. Tears wanted to escape his black eyes as he thought the past.

But he shook his head softly while surpressing them *I should focus on here and now and not the past... on my new friend Yang and her partner Sonya.*  The male shiny Eevee gave a shaky sigh from him and took some deep breaths to calm down, then was able to continue on walking to meet Dandolo. Mentioned Furfrou just got back from his work as he spotted the grey furred Eevee approaching him. Since Dandolo's very social does he know almost everyone in Taberia, including the grey furred Eevee. "Oh hello Nox. How may I help you today?"

"H-hello Mister Dandolo. I'm actually here because Prier asked me to deliver you a message." was Nox responding politely towards the Bank Manager who started to look worried while asking "Oh? What happened to my son? Is he allright?" Seeing that made the male shiny Eevee feel even worser then before about this situation. "N-no! H-he's allright! I-it's just... err... he umm... he won't be able to make it home tonight." The Furfrou looked very shocked shocked about that message as the male shiny Eevee took a breather to continue on.

"P-Prier h-haves to help the K-keepers tonight, M-mister Dandolo" was Noxs response rather guilable. Dandolo noticed that the young male that delivered him the message ment the truth "Ah... I see... So the Keepers need help from my Son... " Nox sighted delighted that the Furfrou didn't ment to do that as he nods to that "Yes they do. I don't know what they need help with though, since I'm not a part of that guild." "Hmm... that's allright. As long as Prier is doing his best in the Keepers Guild and doesn't overdo it is everything allright."

"Thank you for bringing me the message of my son, Nox. Mind if you join me for a cup of tea?" was Dandolo asking him with a smile on his face. The male shiny Eevee shook his head softly "Your welcome Mister Dandolo. Thanks for the offer, but I still need some rest from yesterdays work." "Ah right, you're part of the Trackers and Scholars Guilds after all. Enjoy the afternoon Nox. I'll see you next time." "Thank you Mister Dandolo, enjoy the afternoon too. Goodbye." with that said did Nox started to head back home *Thank god... everything went better then expected... I still feel bad though...*
