It took some time before the team of three vayrons realized the forest they travelled in was growing darker. Emir, a stoney grey runner lit the way with just the white patches of light from his back. It was more than enough for the brothers, Azariah and Zachariah, to see by. They trotted along on either side, peering into the trees for any sign of the child they searched for. “Should we turn back?” Azariah asked. “Is there any way a child could have passed through here?” He looked up at the sky, or lack thereof. It was probably one of the hottest days at the coliseum. With the sun at its highest point in the sky, most people and kukuri were tucked away in whatever shade they could find.
